Folger’s Auction Service was established in 1963. As a young man of 18, Jim Folger decided that the college life was not for him and sought out his interest in auctioneering. He attended the Iowa School of Auctioneering and successfully earned his degree. The first auction he completed was in the spring of 1964. Years later, his daughter Cathie joined his business and has worked with Folger’s Auction for over 30 years. She is now married to Jim Gibbs and together they now own and manage the business. Jim Gibbs is a well experienced auctioneer and farmer with much knowledge of current values of real estate, coins, guns, antiques, farm equipment and much more. Together both Jim Gibbs and Jim Folger sell everything from farm ground to primitives and smalls. Cathie manages the business and puts up with both of them! We are staffed with a wonderful crew of clerks, cashiers, set up professionals and food service. After doing what we love for over 56 years, we are confident we will provide clients with the service they deserve.
We would love to have the opportunity to work with you.
